Captain America, Black Panther, and baby powder???
You'll have to read.
Hello! It’s been a long week, right?
I hope you’re hanging in there the best you can, doing whatever you can, whenever you can.
I have a much longer newsletter for you in the next couple of weeks. I can’t wait to share my experience at ComicsPro and B&D Comics, my thoughts on Captain America: Brave New World, and what I’ve been doing to stay sane.
In the meantime, I thought I’d share a comic I wrote last year that you could only have picked up if you attended an NBA G League game on one of their Marvel Nights. In case you don’t know, I’m a huge sports fan. I say sports because if a team or individuals compete in an athletic fashion, I’m locked in—basketball, softball, football, boxing, hockey, soccer, volleyball, etc. I can’t help but tune in. I was an athlete once upon a time, and sports are a comfort. So, imagine my surprise and then pure excitement when I was asked to write a custom comic for the NBA G League and Marvel. I had so much fun working on the project. I even had the wonderful opportunity to attend an event last year that the Capital City Go-Go and the DC Public Library put together to get people hyped about comics.
In the story, Captain America and Black Panther are in attendance for a charity basketball game at Avengers’ Tower (kinda dangerous, right?). Things are going great until two wannabe villains crash the game. You know how supe comics go.
Okay, enough of me rambling. Please enjoy Avengers: Full Court Press.
